My Story

Hello! My name is Cheryl, and I'm a massage therapist, sewist, designer, notary public, and I'm so excited about reopening my massage business in Kirkwood Missouri.

I began my massage education in 2007, and had no idea how much I needed massage in my life. I love helping people feel their best, or at least help people work towards feeling their absolute best. My massage treatments are focused on evidence/science based practice. I started my massage career in a chiropractors office working mostly on long distance runners and athletes, and then switched gears to work in a spa. After working for a chiropractor and in a spa, I knew neither of these places were a good fit for me.

In 2014, I started my first massage company Renew Massage. It was located in a yoga studio in Maplewood, and it was a really great start to discovering my path as an entrepreneur. In 2019, I left Maplewood and moved to Kirkwood, and built up a great business, only to have covid close my doors in 2020. I was unable to reopen until August 2021, and did so in Ladue. I enjoyed working in Ladue, but after a year of struggling to build a client base in an office building I decided to leave. I rented a space from a friend and immediately started building clientele again. Obviously Ladue was a wrong fit for my business. Location does matter.

In August 2022, I closed my doors for what I assumed would be forever. After 15 years of being a massage therapist, I had just had too many inappropriate male clients, messages, requests, comments, etc. It was overwhelming. My husband fully supported my decision to close, and thus began my journey of starting a sewing business full-time. I deeply enjoy sewing and designing, I've been sewing since I was 8 and I will never stop.

In late May 2024, I decided to reopen my massage business and offer services to focus on female identifying persons, and help women navigate how their bodies change and grow. That pretty much brings us to today. :)

​I am currently working to develop more massage sessions geared towards trauma, depression, surgery recovery, cancer support, perimenopause, pregnancy, etc. I want to use massage to help people, not just offer a luxury session.
