If you've been asking yourself if you would like my asmr session, I'm going to try to help you figure that out!
First, it is not a massage. The end result is completely different from a massage.
Its typically performed on clean, dry skin.
What does it feel like?
If you've ever had someone draw on your back, either tracing letters or making you guess shapes, you might have noticed that you found that enjoyable. If you've ever had someone brush your hair, or gently move your hair out of the way, and you enjoyed that. Maybe someone lightly scratched your back or your scalp and it sent tingles up your spine. If yes, you will like my asmr service. I use a variety of tools to help give you tingles. Not everyone will not experience the tingle sensation, and that's normal.
Should I get asmr with or without massage?
I recommend both although, asmr on its own is incredible. The way it feels to have extremely gentle work done is very different from how you feel after a massage. If you want to sample asmr, you can add it on to a massage, but if you want to truly experience what asmr can do for you, you need to get it on its own. Adding asmr to a massage can make the massage more relaxing, but you will have a different experience than if you had just asmr.
How long of an asmr session should I try?
The shortest asmr session I offer is a 15 minute add-on to a 60 minute massage. The longest asmr session I offer is 90 minutes. If you are uncertain, I recommend 15-30 minute which you can get in a combo session, or as an add-on to a 60+ minute massage. If you know you will love asmr, you need to start with a 60 minute asmr session. Don't muddy the water with massage.
What if I pay for an asmr session, and don't like it?
If you are not enjoying the asmr, we can simply switch to massage.
Do I sit in a chair or lay on the table?
The asmr session is performed as if you were getting a table massage. You will need to undress to your comfort level, and you will be securely snug under a blanket the entire time. Since asmr is only performed on the upper body, you can choose to wear comfy shorts/pants, but keep in mind that you will have a blanket on so you could overheat. The more upper body clothing you remove, the more intense the asmr session will be.
**If you are hesitant to undress during the asmr session, please be aware that I have been a massage therapist since 2008 and I take this role very seriously. I drape modestly, and I have a variety of rice packs/blankets/towels to keep you covered and secure. I am not just a person that thought they would try offering asmr sessions. I have have studied it in depth since 2017, and have a professional massage practice.
I am a heavy person, is your table safe for me?
Most likely, yes! My massage table is rated over 3,000lbs static weight and 700lbs working weight. I have the Oakworks Avalon XD with tilt.
Is this session sexual in any way?
Absolutely not. I know there are questionable videos out there on youtube, but I do not treat this session any differently than a professional massage therapy session.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, but you can bring a hair brush if you request brushing. If you have a product you would like to try you can bring that too. As always, if you wear contacts bring eye drops but otherwise you do not need to bring anything. I keep water, facial tissues, mints, and makeup wipes on hand for every session.
How clean is the space?
I sanitize every surface and tool I use with Protex. Protex has been my cleaner of choice since 2015. It is safe for contact with the skin and has no known significant side effects.
I will be uploading a video displaying a sample asmr session in late March/early April.
