As spring comes to an end, the world begins to slow down again giving everyone more time to focus on themselves. With less mandatory social engagements, people start to add more leisure activities. A lot of businesses offer extra events during summer, people are vacationing, staying out later, playing sports, hiking, running, etc.
Physical ailments during summer:
sports injury
overuse injury
sunburn
dehydration
migraines
heat related illnesses/injuries
Summer can be a beautiful season for your body. Its a time when many people are happier, the days are longer, and are more focused on their fitness routine. With the nicer weather and longer days its much less stressful. Summer is a time to recharge and prepare for the coming cold season.
My recommendation for massage therapy during summer:
Deep Tissue works well in summer. People typically need more precision work during summer, and love the orthopedic focus on specific areas. If your body is already warm from being outside, deep tissue will be easier.
Cold stones/globes to neck and face to feel refreshed.
Hot towels to feet. It might seem counterintuitive, but deep heat from the hot wet towels really helps them relax. Hot stones to feet are also really nice here. Feet go through a lot all year, but during summer the variety of shoes change a lot, and your feet probably need to rest.
Foot Massage Add-On's are peak in summer and winter, the two harshest seasons for feet.
My official recommendation for massage in summer is a 90 minute deep tissue with some focus on sore areas, include a 15 minute foot massage add-on will give you about 30 minutes of just feet, which will be so luxurious.
